You can't get a
new copy of Windows 7.
Microsoft ended support for Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. This means:
* No more security updates: This makes your computer extremely vulnerable to malware and viruses.
* No technical support: You're on your own if anything goes wrong.
* Limited compatibility: Newer software and hardware might not work with Windows 7.
However, you can still use Windows 7 if you already have it installed:
* If you bought a pre-built computer with Windows 7: You can continue to use it.
* If you bought a separate Windows 7 license: You can continue to use it.
Important note: It is not recommended to continue using Windows 7 for security reasons.
What are your options instead?
* Upgrade to a newer version of Windows: Windows 10 and Windows 11 are the latest versions and offer better security, performance, and compatibility.
* Switch to a different operating system: Linux is a popular open-source operating system that is free and secure.
* Use a cloud-based operating system: Chrome OS is a lightweight operating system that runs entirely in the cloud.
Before you make any changes to your computer, be sure to back up your important files!
